Big Fat Rave is run by Time Trip Events Ltd. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will answer plainly.
When you sign up for something
If you fill in one of our sign-up forms, we store what you typed — your email address, and your phone number and first name if you gave them. Alongside that we store the date and time, your browser's user agent string, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself.
We also store the exact wording of the consent boxes as they appeared to you, and a version number for that wording. That is our record that you agreed to what you actually saw, rather than to whatever the page says today.
Consent, per channel
Email, SMS and WhatsApp are separate choices. Ticking one does not tick the others, nothing is ticked for you, and submitting a form is not treated as agreement on its own.
For email we use double opt-in: after you sign up we send you one message with a confirmation link. Until you click it we do not add you to any mailing list. If you never click it, that record is never used for marketing.
Getting off the list
Every marketing email we send has a working unsubscribe link. Use it and you are removed. You can also email us and ask us to delete everything we hold about you, and we will.
Short links
Links beginning /go/ record that a click happened: the time, the referring page, any campaign tags on the link, the browser user agent and a hashed IP. This tells us which posts and messages actually work. It does not identify you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
- We do not store raw IP addresses anywhere.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
